If you have a background in coding then this will be a great fit! If you do not have a background in 3d or coding then I would highly recommend starting with Blender instead. You'll have a much better time!
I began learning Houdini because I was reaching limitations in Blender in the world of simulation and procedural workflows (Geometry Nodes is awesome but has a ways to go). I do not have a strong coding background but YouTube tutorials have been immensely helpful. I hope the playlist below that I have begun to build is helpful to you!
